How to Propagate a Philodendron Brasil Plant

Philodendron Brasil are one of the easiest plants to propagate! Here's how turn your small stem cuttings into more beautiful plants!

Cut a healthy stem between two nodes using a sharp, sterile pair of scissors or  shears. Be sure your cutting has at least one or two leave above the node where new roots and vines will grow.

Before You Begin:  Take Your Cuttings

1

Submerge your cutting in a clear glass of room temp water and place in a sunny spot to encourage root. Once roots are about an inch long, you can plant in soil!

2

Dip the root end of your cutting in rooting hormone powder. Then bury the stem cuttings (cut side down) into well draining soil. Place the pot in a spot where it gets indirect sun and wait for roots to take hold!
